  27. As a response to your statement I mention that I only listed few examples
  28. for the manifestation of the intelligence of whales. As was stated on 
  29. sci.misc in the meantime, even the weight ratio brain/body is similar to
  30. human (!) for dolphins and orcas.

  32. FYI: The language of whales is based on sound (I think infra sound) and in 
  33.      the case of dolphins sufficiently developed so that they can communicate
  34.      even without sight contact, and over larger distances. Covering the eyes
  35.      of one dolphin and giving optical signals to a second is communicated to
  36.      the first so that s/hecan react appropriately. Also think of the
  37.      "songs of the whales" -- some people compare it to culture/art.

  39. Everybody who wants may read one of the books on the social behavior of 
  40. whales, so that I don't give details here.
