  32. But you've seen the population grow monotonically as well, haven't you??

  34. Whether the delays are in the long lines to the overcrowded train/subway
  35. system, or in the traffic on the freeways, the delays will be there when
  36. the travelling population overwhelms the transit system, *regardless* of
  37. what that transit system is.

  39. My (admittedly uninformed) opinion is that L.A. has transit problems because
  40. it has population problems.
