- The LA subway is a special case and should not be used for comparision to
- anywhere else. The above quoted cost is correct bu is 3 to 4 times what
- the cost almost anywhere esle would bee for two reasons:

- 1) The subway is being built under Wilshire Blvd with out tering up the
- street so the whole thing is being done underground.

- 2) The idiots decided to build it right through the middle of the
- La Brea Tar Pits. So they have to deal with support issues, Methane
- Gas, Ventilation adn other stuff noone else does.
