- Yesterday's Globe & Mail sites a report in Yomiuri Shimbun as reporting
- that Sony had a solid state diode laser operating in the 467-483nm range.
- This was constructed of "a sandwich of selenic zinc, selenic sulphide of
- zinc, and magnesium". No comment was made on low temperature operation
- in the Globe's article.
