- Has anyone had experience with the "Phonex" telephone wiring gadget. It is
- regulaly advertized by "Heathkit" and others. Supposedly it uses
- a "base unit" to couple the phone line into your 110 V house wiring.
-
- It then uses "any number" of subunits to recover the telephone signal from
- the house wiring at any available 110 outlet. It would seem to have the
- advantage of eliminating the need for telephone wiring inside the house and
- it also might provide better signal quality when 2 or 3 extensions are being
- used simultaneously.
-
- My questions to possible users are: 1. How is the sound quality? and 2.
- Is it really possible to have a large number of subunits all in use
- simultaneously without losing sound quality?
-
- Thanks in advance. I will summarize useful responses to the NET.
