  15. Linford Christie's training partner, Jason Livingstone, age 22, has been caught taking anabolic steroids and has been sent home from Barcelona. Two British weight-lifters have been sent home too.

  17. They all failed random dope tests taken in the UK by the British Olympic Committee on 15 July. There are some questions as to why the BOC took so long to announce the results since the results of a test are usually known within 48 hours.
