- The AFC Half Marathon and the La Jolla Half Marathon tie for first on
- my list of most scenic Half Marathons. The only problem? Don't count
- on a PR; in fact, I use them both as training runs for flat, and thus
- fast, Halfs.

- Now that I think about it a bit more, the La Jolla Half probably edges
- out the AFC Half by a tiny bit. In any case, do the AFC for the stunning,
- early morning views of the Pacific Ocean, the light house, downtown from
- on high, the harbor from up close, and the wonderful, glorious sight of
- the finish line when 'sprinting' across the Cabrillo Bridge into the
- heart of Balboa Park.
