- Ah ha! That exact same thing happen to me, about 5 weeks ago, with
- my Kalt Whisper! The dmage wasn't bad either, just a caved in boom and
- smashed tail shaft... about $80 worth of parts (what a shaft!)
- Anyway, I just used a pinion gear that was t notches more... and
- whamo!! is exploded in midair, across the street. it was performing
- wonderfully.. til then that is... it had comparable pickup to a .30
- size bird! anyway, I exceeded 1200 rpm. (my blades are 50g each - alot!)
- But now, I'm using the EP blades.. and going about 1800 rpm. *with about
- 22g each blade!) now it handles awesome, w/ more than 10 minutes of flight
- it is pretty good for an electric. my mods are... EP blades, astro
- flight FAI heli motor, autorotation gear, aluminum landing gear, and the most
- lightweight radio equipment available - including the single package
- futaba gyro...
- anyway, i'm glad you posted.. I thought I was the only one to
- have this !EXPLOSION!
