  26.     My recollection of the Car&Driver article on the XR4Ti when it was first
  27. introduced in '85  is that at 175hp and 200 lb-ft of torque the turbo
  28. four was more powerful than the 2.8 six in the European version. Maybe the
  29. Pinto engine in the right tune isn't so bad after all. At least it has an
  30. overhead cam!  Add a big exhaust pipe, an intercooler, and some induction mods
  31. and you're right up to 225hp. 
  32.  Besides, you can buy good used XR4Ti's over here for next to nothing! so nyeah
