- My recollection of the Car&Driver article on the XR4Ti when it was first
- introduced in '85 is that at 175hp and 200 lb-ft of torque the turbo
- four was more powerful than the 2.8 six in the European version. Maybe the
- Pinto engine in the right tune isn't so bad after all. At least it has an
- overhead cam! Add a big exhaust pipe, an intercooler, and some induction mods
- and you're right up to 225hp.
- Besides, you can buy good used XR4Ti's over here for next to nothing! so nyeah
- nyeah!
