- I put some Slick 50 (or a similar produxt, I'm not sure) in two oil changes
- ago. The engine is old, 190,000 miles (300,000 km), and I found out from of
- recent posting that this may have opened up some leaks. I'm seen some
- products that one adds to the crankcase for stopping oil leaks. Are they
- safe? I'm not worried about losing oil, because the leak is only about
- 1 qt/1500 miles (1 l/2000 km), but I am worried about oil leaking into the
- clutch.
-
- I'm not really worried about long-term effects. I only want to get a few
- more thousand miles out of this car before I junk it. It's not worth
- replacing the clutch.
