- IMHO, the best way to check would be to get another spark plug (old one is OK),
- connect the wire to it, then touch the ground of the plug to the block & have
- an assistant crank the engine. It is important that there ALWAYS be a plug
- on the wire for the spark to go to, otherwise extremely high voltages will
- be generated & possibly damage ignition system components.
