  30. With that kind of mileage on the car, I would change the fuel
  31. filter anyway (if it's more than maybe 15-20,000 since you
  32. changed it last).

  34. Call Ford at 1-800-392-3673 to see if there is a recall on the fuel
  35. pump.  You will need the vehicle ID # handy.  I called them and found
  36. there was an emissions recall on my 1987 Topaz, I just had it done and
  37. got a free fuel injector installed.  If you know there was a recall they 
  38. will pay, if you don't know, you will pay.

  40. There seem to be 3 kinds of recalls: mandatory safety recalls from the
  41. government's NHTSA, emmissions recalls from the EPA, and voluntary
  42. recalls of all types from the manufacturer.  The safety & emissions
  43. ones usually have no mileage limit.  The voluntary ones may or may not
  44. have a limit.  Then there are "good will" adjustments which are like
  45. secret warranties, they are not publicized and are in the form of
  46. service bulletins.  These may have a mileage limit and also depend on
  47. your relationship with the dealer.

  57. If you waxed the car and it has clear coat paint, you probably 
  58. scratched the clear coat.  Their is a product made by Meguiars
  59. which claims to hide scratches in clear coat.
