- interesting. this used to be the recommended procedure for retorquing
- head bolts on V-6 Alfas; they sent out a notice about 3 years ago
- indicating that this should no longer be done. since then, there have
- been a lot fewer head gasket failures on V-6 Alfas.

- of course, different manufacturers specify different procedures for
- reasons; do what the shop manual tells you unless you can find an update
- that tells you differently.
