- I didn't get the model of Tom Reingolds car but I can say the following
- about SAAB:

- The 900 (and its ancestor 99/90) is legendary here in Sweden for its
- weak gearbox (and especially the second gear). It's the first thing
- we check when we buy a used SAAB.
- Check the synch rings, and if they seem to be okay, get a new gearbox.

- The 9000 appearantly have no such problems at all.

- (If you want to drive old swedish cars without any problems, buy something
- from the Volvo PV, Duett, Amazon, 14*, 16*, 24* or 26* series. They last
