- I have, among others, a '88 900 Turbo, which has the same engine (plus turbo,
- more or less), but a different tranny. I drive very aggressively, and haven't
- run into this problem. I use Redline MTL, and change it fairly often

- worn-out synchros. What is the history of the car?
-
- I don't know what would be involved in changing the synchro's on the 9000,
- but I'd sure try different tranny oil first.
-
- P.S. In case anyone wonders, redline on these engines is regulated by
- the EFI system at 6000 RPM, so as to eliminate that wonderful olympic sport,
- the 'Piston Toss'.
-
- My '71 Saab Sonett III redlines at 8500 RPM. Does anyone know where I can
- get a 4" (10 cm) tach that goes up that high?
