  18. A single cut shouldn't affect the sound insulation too much - are you
  19. sure this is the cause ?

  21. Cloth duct/gaffer tape will repair it for a year or so. To do it
  22. properly, you'll need a new piece of door seal, possibly a whole
  23. new doorful.

  25. What you *don't* need is to go anywhere near Toyota, and pay
  26. manufacturer's prices. This stuff is available from better auto-trim
  27. shops, and is trivial to fit. Cut it to length and push it over the
  28. ridge of the door frame (some types need little metal clips too).
  29. There are many different sizes & shapes available, and provided you
  30. pick one approximately the right size & shape, the precise details
  31. don't matter.
