  13.  Sounds like a lean condition. First off replace or plug off any broken vacuum
  14. hoses. Then make sure the choke is operating freely; it sounds like maybe the
  15. fast idle is not operating. You can't tell much about the carb when it's being
  16. confounded with vacuum leaks.
