- Greetings! On a recent visit to the Mitsubishi dealer, the service manager
- noticed that my SO's 89 Mirage was idling roughly. One of the procedures
- he recommended was to clean the air plenum. He claims a throttle valve
- inside the plenum gets sticky due to carbon buildup. The question is where
- did this carbon come from? Where is this valve? The factory shop manual
- does not show the air plenum in enough detail nor does it mention cleaning
- it as a maintenance item. Engine is the fuel-injected 1.5 liter.
-
- Thanks in advance.
