- I'll second the idea about using lower rear end gearing. And the converter
- too. You did all that work so you could flow some air, and you want to do
- that as soon as possible. That means you want the revs up, and quickly.
- Your slow start times are telling you this.

- Supposedly to optimize your dragstrip preformance you want to be geared so
- that you are just past your peak HP RPM in top gear when you hit the end.
- With 3.08:1 gears you're probably not even close. I think 3.56:1 is as high
- as you can go in a 10-bolt. 4.11:1 is where you probably want to be for
- the strip but it's no good for cruising. I think Chuck's analysis is on
- the money.
