- The factory installed the engine/trans as an assembled unit. In cases
- like yours where clearances are tight, you usually have to remove the
- transmission crossmember and lower the trans with a floor jack, tilting
- the back of the engine down. This often gets enough clearance to get to
- the bolt.

- I usually go ahead and pull the whole thing; it's six of one vs. half a
- dozen of the other, but you can clean the trans and put new front and
- rear seals in while it's out.
