  22. A trick I use is to get some jumper cables and jump direcly from the
  23. positive terminal on the battery to the post on the starter that
  24. normally attaches to the solenoid.  I.e., what your doing is bypassing
  25. the solenoid.  If your solenoid is connected to the starter, its still
  26. the same concept.  If the starter spins (note: it won't engange without
  27. the solenoid) then you know the problem is in the solenoid.
