- A trick I use is to get some jumper cables and jump direcly from the
- positive terminal on the battery to the post on the starter that
- normally attaches to the solenoid. I.e., what your doing is bypassing
- the solenoid. If your solenoid is connected to the starter, its still
- the same concept. If the starter spins (note: it won't engange without
- the solenoid) then you know the problem is in the solenoid.
