- In a recent article in Automobile (I rarely read it), they were talking
- about the Olds Achieva SCX. It's a special addition with some changes
- in suspension, wheels and tires. One weird thing in the article struck
- me: The tires on the Achieva SC are 195/60-15. The SCX has 185/55-14.
- I may be wrong about the exact sizes, but that's the general idea. Anyway,
- the article stated that the wider tires on the SCX made the car handle
- better. Am I wrong (it wouldn't be the first time), but aren't 195's
- wider than 185's??? Is it the fact that the aspect ratio is lower that
- they call the tires wider?
-
- Just curious...........
