  17. I am disheartened to hear of your agent's response to your romantic

  19. in a wheelchair.  I thought we were long past our fears of differently abled 
  20. people, but I suppose we aren't.

  22. However, there is a much wider acceptance of such stories in the lesbian
  23. community.
  24. While I have not seen (yet) any book-length treatments, I have seen
  25. several short
  26. stories with a similar theme, and found them well-written and
  27. enlightening.  And
  28. romantic.  All of this without the author trying to extract pity from
  29. the reader.

  31. Hopefully, the heterosexual community will follow suite soon.
