- HI!
-
- For those interested in technical writing, you can get the answer to those and
- any other questions by contacting your local Society for
- Technical Communication. If you can't find one, you might consider starting
- one. You can get the information from the STC headquarters:
-
- 901 N. Stuart Street
- Suite 304
- Arlington, VA 22203
-
- Phone: (703) 522-4114.
-
- The STC is the fastest growing organization dedicated to the theory of
- technical communication. They also offer student membership. The STC has over
- over 15,000 members and 125 chapters worldwide.
-
- While salary isn't the greatest, it has certainly improved in the past ten
- years. Many universties and colleges now offer degree programs in technical
- writing and communications. My degree is in journalism, and technical writing
- has always paid better than any journalism job I had.
