  17. What kind of soap are you using?  Does it make the aluminum turn gray?
  18. If so, then it is probably an aluminum oxide.

  20. Aluminum normally forms this oxide. It keeps the aluminum from corroding
  21. further. It will not harm you if you eat a little of it.
