  13. I've owned one Interplak for 2 1/2 years.  At first I did not follow the
  14. instructions and so the gears in the head became stripped and the tufts
  15. fell out in about 9 months.  You're not supposed to use regular toothpaste
  16. because most toothpaste brands contain small abrasive particles which wear
  17. down the gears quickly.  You're supposed to use Interplak toothpaste which
  18. is a gel containing no abrasive particles.  Well I can't remember to re-
  19. order Interplak toothpaste all the time so I just use Plax and my heads
  20. have not fallen apart since.

  22. I can't imagine a better method for getting under the gum line.  I went to
  23. the dentist for my annual cleaning and he was astonished at the lack of
  24. calculus.  I have a method whereby I cover all the gum lines briefly to
  25. loosen them up, then go back and do each one thoroughly.  It takes about
  26. 15 minutes which is usually considered a long time to brush one's teeth
  27. but I only have to do it every other day.
