- I've owned one Interplak for 2 1/2 years. At first I did not follow the
- instructions and so the gears in the head became stripped and the tufts
- fell out in about 9 months. You're not supposed to use regular toothpaste
- because most toothpaste brands contain small abrasive particles which wear
- down the gears quickly. You're supposed to use Interplak toothpaste which
- is a gel containing no abrasive particles. Well I can't remember to re-
- order Interplak toothpaste all the time so I just use Plax and my heads
- have not fallen apart since.

- I can't imagine a better method for getting under the gum line. I went to
- the dentist for my annual cleaning and he was astonished at the lack of
- calculus. I have a method whereby I cover all the gum lines briefly to
- loosen them up, then go back and do each one thoroughly. It takes about
- 15 minutes which is usually considered a long time to brush one's teeth
- but I only have to do it every other day.
