- The provider of the 800-number can pay the long-distance carrier to provide
- the toll-free service to foreign countries served by that long-distance
- carrier. For example, Verdix' Ada support hotline is available to
- the USA and Canada (the price for Canada dropped about a year ago, so we
- added it). It isn't economical for Verdix to provide 800-service to
- European countries, or to Australia.
