  23. Unless it is broken, a refrigerator or window A/C should theoretically
  24. hold its coolant forever.  As I understand it, the reason auto A/C
  25. systems need recharging is that the compressor is not hermetically
  26. sealed (because it is pulley-driven), and the seals are not prefect.
