- I imagine that most people who frequent this newsgroup have seen or at least
- heard about the 60 Minutes story on Monosodium Glutamate. Apparently it
- is not always labelled as such on product labels, sometimes going by
- "hydrolyzed salt" (found in tuna), "sodium caseinate", or just
- "natural flavorings".
-
- I was surprised to hear that it was in tuna and then thought how I'd
- always bought the stuff in vegetable oil as opposed to water because it
- seemed to taste better. Guess what? The tuna in water has no "hydrolyzed
- salt" !! (at least my brand doesn't). So if MSG concerns you, compare
- the labels.
