  12. I imagine that most people who frequent this newsgroup have seen or at least
  13. heard about the 60 Minutes story on Monosodium Glutamate.  Apparently it 
  14. is not always labelled as such on product labels, sometimes going by 
  15. "hydrolyzed salt" (found in tuna), "sodium caseinate", or just
  16. "natural flavorings".

  18. I was surprised to hear that it was in tuna and then thought how I'd 
  19. always bought the stuff in vegetable oil as opposed to water because it
  20. seemed to taste better.  Guess what?  The tuna in water has no "hydrolyzed
  21. salt" !!  (at least my brand doesn't).  So if MSG concerns you, compare
  22. the labels.
