  29. CONDEG MEMBER MARIO ANTONIO DIAZ EXECUTED BY MILITARY COMMISSIONERS

  32. On July 12, in the early morning, individuals who identified themselves as
  33. the authorities entered the home of MARCO ANTONIO DIAZ and shot him in the 
  34. chest, killing him.  The assassins also threatened Diaz's wife and stated that
  35. they would return to kill another man, MARCO ANTONIO GUERRA.  The crime
  36. took place in the town of Crique Grande, in the eastern department of Izabal
  37. Neighbors have stated that local military commissioners carried out the
  38. murder.  Marco Antonio Diaz was a member of CONDEG, the Guatemalan National
  39. Council of Displaced Persons.
