  13. Hello. I seem to recall that there was a command to open
  14. compressed files and read them into a buffer in uncompressed
  15. form.

  17. I have emacs 18.58. I looked for the string "compress" in the
  18. summary of Emacs commands within Info, but found nothing.

  20. Could someone give me a clue? Please send the clue to
