- Does anyone know why I get the following error when I try to start up X:
-
- ld.so: Undefined Symbol: _XtAppInitialize
-
- This error is usually repeated 3 times when I run startx.
-
- I only get this problem right after I do a 'make everything' or just
- 'make' on the X source tree. If I do 'make World', then this problem
- seems to go away.
-
- I am running X11R5 patchlevel 13 on a Sun Sparc, with the Sun numlock
- patch installed. It just seems that after every X patch release, I have
- to do a 'make World' in order to start up correctly. Does anyone understand
- why? Does it have something to do with the numlock patch? This problem
- started at about the same time that I put in the numlock patch.
-
- If anyone could provide me with an answer, I'd appreciate greatly.
