- Does anyone else have this problem and perhaps a solution:
-
- We're using DevGuide 3.0 + Ada (XView) on a SPARCstation IPX with OW
- 3.0 and OS 4.1.1
-
- Using the 'guide' program we are filling in a scrollable list with very
- lengthy items. To help ease the entry/modification of the data on the
- Label: line for the items we use a shelltool window and type in what we
- want there and then use the Copy(L6) and Paste(L8) to copy it into the
- Label: field. The items need to line their contents up with previous
- items (sortof a cheap spreadsheet concept).
-
- The problem is that after doing a few of these copy/paste actions it is
- no longer possible to copy/paste. *BUT*, we can copy/paste outside of
- guide with no problems. If we exit 'guide' and re-enter/re-load then
- it works again...for a little while. And then we're back to the
- problem again.
-
- Now, this doesn't seem to happen on one of the machines. When guide is
- run there it happily copies/pastes indefinately. Both machines have
- the same basic architecture but two different setup accounts
- (customized by the machine's owner). The one that is happy has more
- swap space and disk space than the other if that is significant.
-
- Any hints/pointers on what might be different in the configurations/setups
- of these two machines (or accounts)?
-
- We're sending this onto Sun as well, I was hoping that this might be a well
- known problem with a solution so I thought I'd ask here.
