  11. I'm writing my own nfs server, and it's working fairly well, except for the
  12. fact that "getwd" only works in the root directory of the nfs partition.
  13. besides reporting it incorrectly as "/", subdirectories give me an error
  14. when calling getwd.

  16. Because of this I'm curious.  how does unix implement getwd?  What accounts
  17. for various errors when calling getwd? (I'm getting "read error in ..", when
  18. .. is perfectly readable.)
