- I have an evaluation copy of SoftPC for our DECstation 5000/240 and I
- was curious if anyone can confirm my suspicion that SoftPC Ultrix RISC
- does not work with remote X keyboards.
-
- For example, if I am logged in to our DEC system, with my DISPLAY set
- to my Sun workstation, and I run SoftPC, the window shows up and
- displays all the startup items, but when it comes down to C:\> it
- appears the program demands input from one of DEC's keyboards. Sun
- keyboards fail to register keystrokes, as do SGI and AIX keyboards. I
- was able to add the SoftPC fonts to our R5 fontserver table, so I get
- past those errors, but it looks like I am stuck in keyboard land.
-
- Did they bypass the normal X keyboard system or something?
-
- Anyone seen this? Have a fix?
