- Hi,
- I've just installed Pacershare on a DECstation 5000 Ultrix 4.2
- The Appletalk stack comes up, I configured a volume for a user and
- then started the Pacer share product and it seems to come up normally.
- Our macs have Nu-Bus ETHERNET cards. When I attempt to use the chooser
- to 'mount' the pacerlink disk, something really strange happens on the
- MAC end. The MAC's chooser correctly lets me choose the server,
- set my user name and password and then shows me the available volume.
- So far so good. When I click on the volume to mount it, there's a
- very long wait and, according to a MAC memory free monitor all
- of the available MAC memory gets allocated and the mount operation
- fails
- with an error code indicating that memory is all used up. The
- MAC I'm trying this on is a 24Mbyte Quadra and when I start about
- 20+Mbytes are free so this doesn't seem like correct functionality.
- Has anyone seen this before? Am I doing something stupid?
- Or is there a bug in Pacershare?
- Ron
