- We've been trying to use FUSE a while ago (on Sparcs). When calling support in
- the Netherlands we found out we were the first that had it. They didn't
- even believe we had it running on Sparcs :-) ("Are you sure you're not using the
- Sparc as an X-terminal with FUSE running on a VAX?")
-
- The first problems occurred when trying to install it. You have to put it under
- /usr (or make links there). But things are being set up differently here. Every
- software package has it's own place on the file server under one of the
- directories /Language, /Dbase, /Text, /Window and so on. Not on /usr, which is
- mounted read-only.
-
- Then we tried the examples, which showed what was promised. Then we tried the
- optional C++ kit, about which the handbook spends 1.1 pages !!! Ever since we
- tried to get the same functionality as with C, we have been trying to find
- someone that has experience with it.... Does such a person exist?
