- (Posting for a friend, who says):
-
- I've recently installed SVR4 from Consensys on my 386. I've had
- quite a pack of problems with this package, most of which have
- turned out to be my own fault, but now I'm stumped.
-
- I can't seem to get the serial port set up properly. It looks like
- the OS is one character late. Example: Type in "date" and you see
- "dat". Hit CR and the "e" shows up. Another character is needed
- before you get output. Needless-to-say, this makes for an
- aggravating interface, especially when logging in. I blame the OS
- because the serial port works fine under DOS and SCO Sys V.
-
- Anyone got any ideas or tips for further diagnostic research?
