  23. I had a similar problem that drove me nuts for 2 months and
  24. it turned out to be the MODE used when low level formatting
  25. the hard disk.  I am at home now so don't have the details,
  26. but assuming you have a good (not Everex EV-348) ESDI card (we use the
  27. DTC card), call MAXTOR tech support and they shoudl be able to
  28. go over all the jumpers with you as well as the low level choices
  29. that will allow the drive to work under ESIX.  I have found them to
  30. be great at solving the hard ones.
