- I have recently successfully compiled GhostScript on my PC, which is running
- DELL's SVr4, and I am eager to start printing PostScript files on my
- HP DeskJet 500. I did include the djet500 device driver in the compilation
- of GhostScript.
-
- From looking around, it seems as if I'd need to run the lpfilters program,
- and set up a "dummy" name for the GhostScript-driven DeskJet (e.g., hpdjgs).
- Is this correct? If anyone else has done this, I'd appreciate their input,
- especially on common pitfalls. I'm nervous about tinkering too much with my
- machine, and I'd appreciate the "hand-holding."
-
- Please e-mail replies, and if there is interest, I'll post the results.
-
- Thanks a bunch,
- JK
