- I would like to purchase a CDROM drive (scsi) to be used on both
- an Adaptec 1542B under SCO unix and also to be used under AIX on an IBM
- RS/6000. (Not at the same time.)
-
- I have looked into the NEC CDR 37 and the CDR 74.
- The salesman has told me that the drive is SCSI but I need a special controller
- for the PC. This sounds funny. I don't think SCO has a recommended drive,
- but my local SCO distributor hinted at the NEC product.
-
- I am interested in hearing of peoples experiences with generic scsi CDROM
- on both of these systems. What have people been using with IBM?
-
- Thanks for any advice
