  20. Yes, i have written a driver for the scanner. i did it more for 
  21. fun than profit, i got a loaner device from hp's isv and got the basics to
  22. work with the adaptec(1542b) host adapter and the scanners scsi port.

  24. this was on a 3.2.2 system. i havent completed the driver and the scanner 
  25. went back to hp. i have a scanner coming back again so i can finish the work.

  27. i dont know any one who has good display software and would appreciiate it
  28. if you find some, pass them on to me. i'll trade driver software for 
  29. user vga display software.

  31. in any case, the scanner should be here in a couple of weeks and i'll
  32. be putting out a tiff file format. a command lind hpcfg will report/update
  33. the scanners configuration and a hpscan <file> will put a scanned image
  34. in the named file. this functionality has been requested along with
  35. the scanner to fax format. additional functionality suggestions are
  36. welcome.
