- Hello netters.
-
- I have just installed SCO OpenDesktop 2.0.0, and have been battling
- to get my ethernet card visible to DOS-Merge. I have two ethernet cards
- in my machine: one for SCO and one for DOS. The card I want to
- use for DOS is on IRQ3, Base address 0x260, and RAM address 0xd4000.
- The other card (for Unix) is on IRQ11, Addr 0x240, RAM 0xd0000.
-
- When I start DOS-Merge, I use flags "dos +a.260-27f.3.d4000-d7fff". All
- good and well. When I load the packet driver under DOS, it seems to
- see the card correctly (it picks up my ethernet address propperly), and
- claims to have loaded properly. Then, as soon as I use CUTCP or INet,
- neither of them seem to work at all.
-
- The packet driver I am using is the Clarkson Wd8003E driver, version
- .7.1. I load it using wd8003e 0x60 3 0x260 0xd400.
-
- Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or if anyone has
- had any joy getting an ethernet card working propperly on DOS-Merge
- please let me know how you did it. Any help at all would be greatly
- appreciated.
