  11. First, when I boot my system, I get the message
  12.   "<whatever the current date is> lpd[50]:/dev/lp: No such file or directory"
  13. when things are initializing.  This just started happening recently, and I'm
  14. wondering what I did to start it, and how I can stop it.

  16. Now for the second question:
  17. When I try to use tip, I get the following:
  18.   % tip com1
  19.   lock open: No such file or directory
  20.   all ports busy
  21.  
  22. Can anyone help to rectify these situations?
