  12.    I have a few questions about running A/UX on a IIsi.  Apple's back to
  13. school prices are really good right about now ($1406 for a 5MB/80MB
  14. drive IIsi) and I'm thinking about running A/UX on one.  I've looked
  15. into upgrading to whatever I need between 8 and 17 MB and that isn't too
  16. bad ($139 per 4 MB SIMM).

  19.    My concern is with disk space and speed.  Would a
  20. IIsi be prohibatively slow to run A/UX well? (I know it CAN run A/UX,
  21. but it it worth running it?)

  24.    Would a cache card like Daystar Digital's
  25. FastCache or Combocache IIsi, or Applied Engineering's Quicksilver cache
  26. card help?  If so, how much?  The Daystar Powercache is a little too
  27. expensive, but the Combocache can apparently be upgraded later to a
  28. Powercache.

  31.    Is an 80 MB hard drive too small for general use? From everything I
  32. have read here, it is, but Apple does offer a IIsi setup, as I quote

  41. (M1410LL/A)? Is this card necessary to run A/UX?

  43. Could I just as easily buy a IIsi (the place has _one_ IIsi in stock by
  44. accident) and add some ram,and the A/UX product (which comes with
  45. manuals, while the pre-installed system does not) or do I need this 
  46. adapter card?

  48. Now economic questions...Would I be better off buying a IIci to begin
  49. with or even a Quadra 700 (but those are SOOOOO expensive comparatively)

  51. About hard drives...How much are hard drives running (around 200MB
  52. external)? If I'm going to have to buy one, is it better to just buy a
  53. better system like the IIci? Are there any recomendations for relatively
  54. low-priced hard drives suitable for A/UX?

  57. Now for my last question...Will an external ethernet box run through
  58. SCSI work with A/UX?  My dorm rents them for the school year and I
  59. wonder if it will work with this system.
