- Hi there!
-
- I have the following questions:
-
- 1) Is A/UX self contained? That is, does it has to be networked
- (to a campus)? or Can I just run A/UX on the Quadra while isolated
- from other computer system?
-
-
- 2) Somebody said that MacX cannot be run through telephone line.
- It has to be connected to a network. Is this true?
- I assume whatever happens to MacX applies to A/UX.
-
-
- 3) If ones concerns are to
-
- a) do assignments at home with the X windows looks and feels
- (HAVE DIFFERENT XTERMS windows running simultaneously)
- -----------------------------------------------------
- ^
- |__ Main concern!
-
-
- b) have no access to ethernet but can only connect to university UNIX
- system through 9600 bps modem
-
-
-
- Do you recommend me to buy A/UX or MacX in this case?
-
-
- Your reply is appreciated! Thanks...
