  23. If you are not using a mail server (and maybe even if you are :)) /etc/HOSTNAME
  24. needs to have the complete system name.  E.g. when I named my machine "lehman"
  25. I had the same problem; when I explicitly renamed it "lehman.uafsom.alaska.edu"
  26. the problem went away.
