- As mentioned earlier by "Ford", the problem is hardware. The install tape,
- regardless of its state, is incapable of generating a SCSI bus error.
- A common cause is faulty ribbon cable or connectors. Over several attempts
- to install, I predict the failure occurs at different places on the tape.

- 1st attempt to fix:
- Remove the ribbon cable and press on the connectors (which are
- crimped to the cable).

- 2nd attempt:
- Remove the Amiga's lid. This changes the cable's orientation in
- the box, and may also prevent the pins of the (male) SCSI connector
- from shorting against the screw tab of the lid.

- 3rd attempt:
- Swap ribbon cable.
