  21. It's a failure at the SCSI interface controller chip level.  In other
  22. words, it's not your tape drive saying the tape is unreadable, it's
  23. your SCSI interface controller saying your SCSI bus is unreadable.
  24. The software can not and will not attempt to recover.

  26. Basically, it is a hardware problem, although it is often as simple as
  27. not having proper termination on the SCSI bus.  Make sure the end of
  28. your bus is terminated, probably by the presense of a terminator
  29. plugged into the "other" connector on the A3070.
