- IPL Systems somewhere here in California sells those drives. They are
- $2532.00 each - significantly less than IBM's 4800.00 list price and only
- $132.00 more than IBM's developer discount. That company is trying to get
- into a maintenance contract w/IBM (e.g., IBM is supposed to have their
- hardware maintenance people "accept" the IPL drives). HOwever, they have
- not done this yet and I am waiting to hear from them on this. I believe
- they are in El Segundo or somewhere else in L.A. or San Diego.
-
- Sorry I don't have a phone - due to IBM's ridiculous and disgusting slip
- support, my line to work is not up and I have been struggling for months
- with it to no avail (it works for about a day, then just dies, taking all
- interfaces, including ethernet AND loopback with it and sometimes gets the
- flashing 888's).
-
- If anyone would like their phone, send me mail.
